2022 Cross Country: Competed in three meets for the Green Wave....Her best 4K time came at the UNO XC Opener with a 15:13 (9/2/22)...Placed 24th at the Rice Invitational (9/9/22) with a 15:38.9...Her best 6K time came at the Arturo Barrios Invitational with a 23:40.3 (10/15/22)Before Tulane: In high school, she was Student Council President, Young Democrats of America President, and Class Valedictorian…Co-led initiative to establish a boy’s cross country team for school district... obtained a grant to support LGBTQ+ youth in school district… Won the Bulldog Trailblazer Award… Was a Student Athletic Advisory Committee (SAAC) team representative… Played point-guard for school’s basketball team… Earned All-District Honors for being a point guard… 3x State Champion in Distance for track & field… Was the only runner on her school’s cross country team for 4 years… Class 2 Meet Record Holder (Gans Creek)… 2019 & 2021 1600m State Champion for track & field.. 2019 NSHSAA State Champion for cross country… 2020 800m/1600m/3200m Gateway Virtual Track Series State Champion… 2021 CCC Female Track Athlete of the Year… 9x All-State, All-Sectional, All-District, All-Conference Honors for track & field… 4x All-State, All-District, All-Conference Honors for cross country… Highlight of high school career was being the first person from her high school to win state for cross country
Personal: Daughter of Tania and Ronnie Sharp, who coached her high school basketball team…Has a younger brother, Ronnie, and younger sister, Sam… Enjoys reading, writing, and being outside… Favorite athlete is Kayla Bushey …When she graduates from Tulane, she would like to become a writer and a lawyer.
