CROSS COUNTRY: Ran in four races for the Wave, scoring in all but one. Finished 42nd at the Mississippi College Invitational, with a personal-best time in the 6K of 26:32 (10/14). Placed 14th and set a collegiate best of 22:32.51 in the 5K at the season-opening Tulane Invitational (9/1).

Full name is Alysa Nicole Kociuruba. Born December 9, 1986 in Canton, Ohio. The daughter of Paul and Anita Kociuruba. Vice President of the National Honor Society and maintained a grade-point average over 4.0 for her four-year high school career. Plans to major in political science at Tulane.
