NEW ORLEANS – Fresh off another successful cross country campaign, head coach Adrian Myers sets his sights on the track and field seasons for Tulane with the announcement of the Green Wave schedule. The indoor season begins on December 5 and runs through mid-March, and the outdoor season kicks off on March 20 and runs through early June.
The indoor campaign begins with the Birmingham Icebreaker on December 5, and the Sharon Colyear-Danville Season Opener follows in Boston the following day. The Wave will participate in the Rod McCravey Invite in Louisville on January 9-10 and the Vanderbilt Invitational in Nashville January 16-17. The month ends with two events on January 30-31 as the team splits for the Lenny Lyles Invitational in Louisville and the John Thomas Terrier Classic in Boston. The Windy City Invite (Feb. 6-7) kicks off the next month in Chicago. Another split weekend on February 13 and 14 sees the team participate in the David Hemery Valentine Invitational (Boston) and the Music City Challenge (Nashville). The LSU Twilight takes place on February 20 to conclude the regular season. The American Conference Indoor Championship is held in Birmingham on February 27 and 28, and the NCAA Indoor Championship takes place in Fayetteville, Arkansas, on March 13 and 14.
It will be a quick turnaround as the outdoor season starts with the Louisiana Classics on March 20 and 21 in Lafayette. Tulane takes on the Raleigh Relays March 26-28 before starting April with the Texas Relays and Bobcat Relays from April 1-4 in Austin and San Marcos, respectively. Remaining in Texas, the 44 Farms Team Invitational is held from April 9-11 in College Station. Traveling to the west coast, the Wave participates in the Bryan Clay Invitational in Azusa, California, from April 16-18. Concurrently is the Tom Tellez in Houston from April 17-18. Tulane then heads to Des Moines, Iowa, for the Drake Relays from April 22-25. The LSU Alumni Gold is held on April 25. Another split occurs to kick off May with the Alumni Muster in College Station on May 1 and 2 alongside the LSU Invitational on May 2. The American Conference Outdoor Championship is held in Denton, Texas, from May 15-17. The first round of the NCAA Championship is in Lexington, Kentucky, from May 27-30. The campaign concludes with the NCAA Outdoor Championship in Eugene, Oregon, from June 10-13.
Tulane is the defending women's indoor track and field American Conference champion. The Wave returns two-thirds of its full podium from last season's women's indoor mile in the champion Dorcas Naibei and the third-place finisher Reese Ragland. The Green Wave coaching staff earned the 2025 Staff of the Year honor at the indoor championship last season. Highlighting the 2025 outdoor season was American Freshman of the Year Bernard Cheruiyot. He returns alongside Blezzin Kimutai, both of whom earned individual titles as freshmen. Cheruiyot and Silas Kiptanui both earned All-America recognition at the 2025 NCAA Outdoor Championships.
