Bailey graduated Cum Laude from Georgia Southern University in May 2016, where he received his bachelor's degree in health and physical education.
While serving as a student-assistant coach at Georgia Southern from January 2013 to March 2016, Bailey was also a member of Phi Eta Sigma academic achievement organization and nominated for Outstanding Health and Kinesiology Major in 2016.
Previously, Bailey assisted with linebackers under Kevin Corless (2013) and defensive backs under Jack Curtis (2014-16), who is now the defensive coordinator at Tulane.
While at Georgia Southern, Bailey experienced some historic landmarks for the football program. In 2013, Georgia Southern transitioned over from the FCS to the FBS to join the Sun Belt Conference. That same year Georgia Southern won its first FBS game in program history at Florida.
In 2014 under current Tulane head coach Willie Fritz, the Eagles went undefeated (8-0) in conference play to earn their first Sun Belt Championship. A year later, Georgia Southern won its first bowl game in the GoDaddy.com Bowl against Bowling Green.
A native of Perry, Ga., Bailey is currently pursuing his master's degree from Tulane in liberal arts.
