Keyan Williams is in his first season as a Tulane Football Graduate Assistant where he will work with the Green Wave offensive unit.
Williams arrives in Uptown following a year at Wayne State College where he coached wide receivers. Under Williams' direction, Wayne State pass catchers hauled in 141 recpetions for 1,838 yards and 13 touchdowns.
Williams arrived at Wayne State after a collegiate career that saw him make stops at Ball State, Nebraska, and Fresno State.
As a senior in 2018 at Ball State, Williams appeared in six games as a reserve wide receiver and recorded six receptions for 23 yards. Williams spent the 2016 and 2017 seasons at Nebraska where he was an Academic All-Big 10 selection in 2017 while also named to the Nebraska Scholar Athlete Honor Roll in the spring of 2017 and 2018. Injuries limited his playing time at Nebraska, missing the first nine games of the 2017 season. He recorded a 19-yard catch vs. Iowa in the 2017 season finale. Williams began his collegiate career at Fresno State, redshirting in 2014 while playing in five games in 2015 with seven catches for 34 yards.
A native of New Orleans, Williams was a two time team captain in high school at Lusher High where he set school career records for total yards and total touchdowns. He was named to the 11-3A All-District Team as a junior and senior and was named Offensive MVP both seasons. His father Keith is a college football coach and played football at San Diego State.
