HIGH SCHOOL: Lettered for three years at Karr High School for coach Don Wattigny. Tallied 915 yards on kickoff returns as a junior. Rushed for 131 yards and two touchdowns, including a 60-yard score, against O.P. Walker during his senior season. Helped the Cougars to a pair of playoff appearances. Also lettered in track as a sprinter, winning the district title in the 200-meter dash.
