Prep: A 3A all-state selection his senior season. Also a member of the all-county team his senior year and was an all-region and all-area choice the last two years. Named Player of the Month for October in both 2002 and 2003. Two-way player who made 89 tackles, 55 solo, as a senior with four sacks, three tackles for loss, a fumble caused and one recovered. Also intercepted three passes. On offense, rushed 53 times for 608 yards and nine touchdowns as a fullback in 2003. Averaged 8.3 yards per carry for his high school career with 1,008 rushing yards on 121 carries and 12 scores. Team advanced to the state semifinals his senior season after getting to the quarterfinals in 2002. Was the regional champ and qualified for the state meet in the hurdles. Runs a 4.45 40-yard dash. Twice named to his school[apos]s All-Academic Team.
