2011: Saw action in 12 games as a junior...finished tied for 19th on the team with 13 tackles (9 solo, 4 assists)...tied a career-high with four stops (3 solo, 1 assist) at Duke (9/24)...had three tackles (2 solo, 1 assist) vs UTEP (10/15) vs UTEP and had two solo stops vs Houston (11/10)...posted single-tackle performances vs Southeastern Louisiana (9/3), vs Tulsa (9/10), at Army (10/1) and at Hawai[apos]i (11/26).

Personal: Born Joshua Caleb Smith on December 6, 1988, in Thomaston, Ga...son of Greg and Beverly Smith...father, Greg, played basketball at St. Andrews College while his uncles, Willie and Shelius Smith, played football at Morris Brown College and Furman University, respectively...completed his degree in marketing in May 2012.
