Three-year starter at defensive tackle who was a first team all-state choice by the coaches in 2003. Also a first team all-district selection as a senior. Earned second team all-district honors in 2002 and was an honorable mention all-district choice the year before. Made 93 tackles as a senior and added 13 sacks and 20 tackles for loss. Caused four fumbles and recovered two. In 2002, totalled 85 tackles with 13 sacks and 15 tackles for loss. Picked off a pass, formed two fumbles and recovered three. Came up with five fumble recoveries his sophomore year and returned two for touchdowns. Added 15 sacks and 20 tackles for loss that season. Totalled 257 tackles for his career with 41 quarterback sacks and 55 tackles for loss, 10 fumbles recovered and six forced. St. Helena Central won district titles in 2001 and 2002 and advanced tot the state quarterfinals in his senior and sophomore seasons. Also played basketball for three seasons and participated in track and field, where he threw the javelin and was a regional finalist. Elected senior class vice president in 2003 and is an honor roll student. Listed in Who[apos]s Who Among American High School Students. Claimed a first place prize in the botany Science Fair in 2003.
