Named to the Beaumont Enterprise Super Team in 2005. First team all-district selection. Featured among the top junior linemen in Dave Campbell[apos]s Texas Football Magazine. Elected a permanent team captain as a senior. Three-year starter at offensive tackle on an offense that gained 395 yards per game. Received the Bruin Heart Award in 2005. Credited with 85 pancake blocks as a senior, 65 his junior season and had 40 his sophomore year. Led all Westbrook offensive linemen with an average grade of 80 percent for his career while tallying 190 pancake blocks. His team won the district championship and advanced to the third round of the playoffs in 2005. Also earned letters in basketball and track and field. Averaged 10 points and 12 rebounds per game in basketball and owns a top discus throw of 140 feet. Listed in 'Who[apos]s Who Among High School Students' and is a member of Phi Theta Kappa Kids service organization.
