2000: Trigger man for the No. 3 passing offense and No. 7 total offense in the nation. Earned Second Team All-Conference USA and First Team All-Louisiana honors. The league[apos]s leading passer with 283.3 yards per game. Also topped C-USA in total offense while ranking eighth nationally at 288.6 yards per game. Passed for 300 or more yards in six games, including each of the last four, and TU went 5-1 in those contests. Three-time Conference USA Offensive Player of the Week, after the SMU (9/23), Navy (11/11) and Memphis (11/18) games. Completed 58.9% of his passes (229-of-389) for 2,833 yards and 24 TDs. Tied the school record with five touchdown passes versus Navy (11/11) and threw 12 TD passes in Tulane[apos]s last three games. Missed the East Carolina (9/16) game and the last quarter of the Louisville (10/28) contest due to injury.
1999: One of four players on offense to start all 11 games. Set 20 Tulane passing marks, including the single-season records for yards (3,410), yards per game (310.0), attempts (513) and completions (310). His 25 TDs ranks second. Became the first quarterback to pass for 400 yards in a single game (accomplished twice) and set single-game records for completions (37), attempts (59), yardage (447) and touchdowns (5). A two-time C-USA Offensive Player of the Week. Threw for at least 300 yards in seven games, including five straight. Tossed at least TD pass in every game.
1998: Saw action in three games, completing 3-of-5 passes for 27 yards, one touchdown and no interceptions. Threw first career touchdown pass, a 14-yarder to Adrian Burnette, against USL.
1997: Redshirted the football season. Competed for the Green Wave track team and posted a Conference USA-best throw of 218 feet in the javelin during the 1998 outdoor season.
HIGH SCHOOL: A graduate of Ruston High School in Ruston, La. A two-year starter for the football team. Completed 90-of-201 passes for 1,073 yards and 12 touchdowns as a senior. Won the state Class 5A championship and prestigious Golden West Invitational in javelin throw as a senior. Ranked as No. 1 prep javelin thrower nationally in 1997. Won a bronze medal at the Pan American Games in Havana, Cuba. An honor student. Coached by Joey Pender.
PERSONAL: Patrick Allen Ramsey. Born February 14, 1979. The son of Charles and Kathy Ramsey. Graduated with a double major in accounting and finance in December. A five-time selection to the Conference USA Commissioner[apos]s Honor Roll for his academic efforts.
