Destinee Medrano joined Tulane Athletics as a senior academic advisor in July of 2021. She oversees the academic progress of the Tulane football team, specifically the defensive position groups.
Prior to Tulane, she spent three years at Mississippi State. Medrano served as an athletic academic counselor during the 2020-21 academic year. She oversaw the academic success of Mississippi State's football program. She arrived in Starkville, Miss., in August of 2018 as a graduate assistant in student-athlete services. In this role, Medrano monitored the academic progress of the men's basketball, football, women's basketball, volleyball, and softball teams.
Medrano earned a Master of Science in Sport Administration in May of 2020 from Mississippi State. She graduated with an undergraduate degree in Psychology from California State University - Northridge in May 2018.
Destinee, originally from Southern California, played softball during her time at Antelope Valley college. Her fiancé, Brock Moreaux, is the head coach for the track and field/cross country program at University of New Orleans.
