Spring 2001: Participated in all five spring tournaments as a junior, recording three Top 30 finishes and one Top 20 mark...had best outing of the season at the LSU/Cleveland Golf Classic with a 231 (81-74-76)...shot a career-best 72 in the second round of the USF/Waterlefe Invitational...best finish of the season came at the Conference USA Championships when she tied for 16th with a plus-21 237 (81-82-74)...earned C-USA Commissioner[apos]s Honor Roll recognition and named to the NGCA All-Scholar Team.
Fall 2000: Competed in two tournaments, finishing tied for 56th at the Auburn University Tiger-Derby Invitational with a 22-over par 247 and tying for 42nd at the Memphis Women[apos]s Golf Invitational with a plus-36 252.
Summer 2000: Competed in the Southern Amateur, Trans-National, U.S. Open and the U.S. Amateur qualifiers.
Spring 2000: Participated in all six events as a sophomore, posting four Top 40 finishes...earned Louisiana Sports Writers Association Newcomer of the Year honors after averaging 79.79 strokes per 18 holes and tallying two Top 20 finishes...shot a career-low 234 (70-73-82) at the Liz Murphey Collegiate Classic, finishing tied for 37th...best finish of the season came at the Conference USA Championships when she finished tied for 15th with a 235 (76-80-79)...earned C-USA Commissioner[apos]s Honor Roll recognition and was named to the NGCA All-Scholar Team.
Fall 1999: Competed in two events in the fall, finishing with a stroke average of 79.67...had best outing of the fall at the Franklin Street Trust/Tar Heel Invitational when she scored a 235, including a season-low 75 in the second round of the tournament...represented Colombia at the South American Championship in Paraguay.
Prior To Tulane: Played the 1998-99 season at the University of Florida where she participated in 10 tournaments as a freshman...posted four Top 20 finishes, including a pair of Top 10 finishes, for the Lady Gators...tied for sixth place at the Lady Gator Invitational with a score of 151 (75-76), and tied for 10th at the UCF Women[apos]s Golf Invitational when she fired a 154 (79-75)...shot a season-low 74 in the first round of the Auburn Tiger Invitational in her first collegiate tournament...earned Dean[apos]s List honors for her work in the classroom.
Prep: An accomplished amateur golfer who won 12 tournament and recorded 26 Top 5 finishes...top-ranked amateur in Colombia in 1998...represented Colombia in numerous international tournaments, including the World Amateur Championships in November 1999, where she fired a four-round total of 307...won three titles in 1998, including the Hatogrande Open, the Penalisa Open and the Colombian Women[apos]s Championship...played in a number of tournaments in the United States, highlighted by a fourth-place finish at the 1997 AJGA Greater Greensboro Chrysler Junior Tournament and a 12th-place finish at the 1997 Orange Bowl International...finished 1997 as the top-ranked junior golfer in Colombia...off the course, was a member of the honor roll since primary school.
