Alyssa Marsh
- Title:
- Volunteer Assistant Coach
Alyssa Marsh joined the Tulane swimming and diving team as a volunteer assistant coach in August of 2020.
Marsh came to New Orleans after spending four years on Duke's swimming and diving team, where she ultimately became a nine-time CSCAA All-America pick.
The Davidson, North Carolina native set three individual school records (50 freestyle, 100 freestyle and 100 butterfly), three relay school records (200 free relay, 400 free relay and 200 medley relay) and four Taishoff Aquatics Pavilion records (50 free, 100 free, 100 back and 200 medley relay) during her time with the Blue Devils.
As a senior in 2020, Marsh held the most school records of any woman in Duke history, helping the team to finish the season ranked ninth in the CSCAA polls — the highest ranking in program history.
In addition to her coaching position at Tulane, Marsh will be spending the next few years working with Teach for America in New Orleans. Marsh is also currently attending the Relay Graduate School of Education.
Alyssa Marsh is the daughter of David Marsh, the former men's and women's swimming coach at Auburn. In his 17 years with the Tigers, Marsh led the men's team to seven NCAA national championships and the women's team to five national championships to become the most successful coach in program and school history. Marsh is now the head coach of Team Elite Aquatics — the top professional swimming training group in the United States — in San Diego, California.
