2011-12: Swam in all nine meets as a junior...posted top times of 24.16 in the 50 free (Feb. 16), 52.23 in the 100 free (Feb. 18) and 1:54.75 in the 200 free (Feb. 17) during the preliminaries at the C-USA Championship, and 1:01.90 in the 100 back during the preliminaries at the UH Cougar Classic (Nov. 18)...tallied a pair of individual third-place finishes: in the 50 and 100 free vs Vanderbilt...earned third-team All C-USA honors in the 200 free...also helped the relay teams post five other top three finishes: winning the 400 free vs Vanderbilt, coming in second in the 400 free at LSU, and finishing third in the 200 free at Alabama and the Houston Tri-Meet, in the 200 medley vs Vanderbilt and in the 400 free at the Houston Tri-Meet...away from the pool, claimed C-USA Commissioner[apos]s Honor Roll and Tulane 3.0 Club recognition.
2010-11: Participated in all 10 events as a sophomore...posted top times of 24.62 in the 50 free (Feb. 24), 52.98 in the 100 free (Feb. 26) and 59.94 in the 100 back (Feb. 25) at the Conference USA Championship, and 1:58/77 in the 200 free at the Phil Hansel Cougar Classic Invitational (Nov. 20)...tallied a season-best fourth-place finish in the 50 free vs Florida International...also helped the relay teams post six top three finishes: winning the 200 free at UNO and the 200 medley vs FIU, finishing second in the 200 free at San Diego State and in the 400 free vs FIU and Vanderbilt; and posting a third-place showing in the 400 medley vs LSU...away from the pool, claimed C-USA Commissioner[apos]s Honor Roll and Tulane 3.0 Club recognition, and earned C-USA Academic Medal honors after posting a GPA of 3.75 or higher.

Personal: Born Kristine Di-Yu Gu on June 15, 1991 in Albuquerque, N.M...daughter of Albert and Tracy Gu...has two sisters, Diane and Marine, who swam collegiately at Rice and Case Western Reserve, respectively...majoring in cell and molecular biology.
