Caleb Thornton joined the Tulane Athletics Creative Services Team in March 2023 as the Director of Creative Services bringing with him over 15 years of experience.
In this role, he is responsible for the video and photo content for Golf, Swimming and Diving, Baseball, and Women's Tennis. Caleb also assists with the content for the content for the football team and helped with the content for the 2023 Military Bowl in Annapolis, Maryland.
He arrives after having worked in the Marketing department at BBQGuys as one of their lead Video Producers. During his time there he produced content and overviews for their social and YouTube channels.
Prior to his time at BBQGuys, he spent several years with the LSU Sports Production team within LSU Athletics where he served as Video Production Specialist and played a key role with the social media engagement during the 2019 LSU National Championship. He shot and edited social content for all 15 varsity sports while also producing television shows such as Inside LSU Football, Inside LSU Baseball, and Inside LSU Basketball. He has covered many big name events, such as NCAA Tournaments for several sports, SEC Championships, Football Bowl Games, and National Championships.
Prior to joining LSU Sports Productions, Caleb worked for the LSU Football Video staff for five years as a student videographer. As a student, he shot all football games and practices for coach’s video and social content. Caleb has also done a plethora of freelance work, most notably wedding videography. He started his own wedding videography company in 2021, Nine and a Half Films. He grew this company to 60+ weddings in 3 years, but decided that sports were his passion - which led him to Tulane Athletics. Caleb has also freelanced for LSU Athletics, specifically the video board and replay crews.
He has also worked with brands such as the SEC Network, ESPN, Blackstone, Traeger, and many more.
Thornton, a native of Baton Rouge, is married to Kaylen (Rabalais) Thornton. The couple have two children, Sophia and Henry.
