Connor McGinnis joined the Tulane University Strategic Communications staff in the fall of 2021. In his current capacity, McGinnis serves as the Green Wave's primary strategic communications contact for men's basketball, golf and sailing.

McGinnis arrived in Uptown after he spent the past year serving as the Assistant Athletics Director for Communications at Division II University of Arkansas Monticello. During his tenure, the Arkansas native served as the primary communications contact for all 11 of the department's sports while serving on the athletic executive staff.

Before arriving at Arkansas Monticello, McGinnis worked as an intern within the Vanderbilt Athletics department. During his tenure at Vanderbilt, he assisted with the promotional efforts during the Commodores run to the 2019 College World Series Championship. In addition to time working at Vanderbilt, McGinnis also served as game night communications intern with the Nashville Predators where he was responsible for the pregame setup and transcribing quotes from postgame press conferences.

McGinnis earned his Master's Degree in Sport Administration in May of 2020 and received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville in May of 2015.
