Evan Cornell started with Tulane Athletics in 2026 as the Green Wave’s Assistant Director of Facilities & Event Management. In his current role, Cornell oversees event management responsibilities for Women’s Basketball and Swim & Dive. He also serves as the facility manager for the Hertz Center.

Prior to joining Tulane, Cornell served as an Assistant Director at Eastern Michigan University. During his time at EMU, he was the primary event manager for Women’s Soccer and Women’s Lacrosse. He also oversaw the day-to-day operations of the Indoor Practice Facility.

Cornell earned his bachelor’s degree in Sport Management from the University of Kansas. He also earned his master’s degree in Higher Education from Providence College.
