Jonathan Melia joined the Tulane athletic training staff in the spring of 2023. His primary responsibility is providing medical coverage and overseeing all aspects of healthcare for the Green Wave football team.
Melia arrives at Tulane after working as the Associate Athletic Trainer at the University of Arkansas.
He earned his bachelor’s degree in kinesiology from Arkansas in 2014 and his master’s in athletic training in 2016.
Melia worked as an Assistant Athletic Trainer at Arkansas from 2018-21 and moved up to the Associate Athletic Training position in 2021. It was a position he held until arriving at Tulane.
He also worked as a seasonal athletic training intern for the Cleveland Browns from 2016-18.
The Rogers, Arkansas native enjoys snowboarding, canoeing, and camping in his free time.
