Matthew Schulte enters his first year with Tulane Athletics in 2025 as the Green Wave’s Facilities and Grounds Coordinator. In his current role, he oversees athletic grounds, turf, and select facilities, serving as the main contact for landscaping, maintenance, and vendor partnerships.

Before moving to New Orleans, Schulte was an assistant groundskeeper from Delmarva Shorebirds (low-A affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles). At Delmarva, he was responsible for maintaining and preparing for a minor league baseball field.

Schulte, a Detroit, Michigan native, graduated from Grand Valley State University in 2024 with a bachelor’s degree in sport management. He was a member of Grand Valley’s baseball and football teams as a student manager. He was also a member of Delta Tau Delta, a social fraternity, where he was the chairperson for philanthropy and community service.

Schulte currently resides in Uptown.
