Patrick Ramsey at 6:05pm ET
Good evening everyone. I am on line and ready to answer your questions. What is on your minds?
Rob from [205.145.58.53], at 6:07pm ET
1) How different are the coaching styles of Bowden & Scelfo?
2) What happened against So. Miss. & what has Coach Scelfo done since that game to make sure this does not happen again?
Patrick Ramsey at 6:10pm ET
Coach Scelfo is definitely a player's coach. He listens to our opinions and all types of topics you wouldn't expect.
S. Miss had a very good defense and I was very impressed. For me, it was my first game and I was nervous and missed a few reads. But now we have a sense of urgency and the team is together. We just have to put it behind. Our motto is" "Our next game is our most important."

With Syracuse next, the Carrier Dome has been considered by many players the loudest stadium in the nation to play in. How is Tulane preparing to deal with the sound??
Patrick Ramsey at 6:11pm ET
We've played in some very loud places. We have some wrinkles we can throw in there to deal with it. But mainly we just have to say focused and not let the crowd get to us. We want to take them out of the game right away.
Glabber from proxy.aol.com at 6:11pm ET
Patrick, speaking as a proud fan of the Wave, what plans does the team have to avenge 9699? You guys have done an outstanding job rebounding from that loss, but is it still bugging you deep down inside?
Patrick Ramsey at 6:12pm ET
All loses bother you, but now we just have to win our in conference and hope something happens. There are a lot of good teams in this conference so hopefully S. Miss will get knocked off and we'll be just where we were last year.
Jon from [152.163.197.62], at 6:12pm ET
I am a Tulane alumni and I find it amazing that with all the recent football success Tulane still can't draw people into the Superdome for the games. How do you feel about playing in front of such small crowds?
Patrick Ramsey at 6:13pm ET
Honestly, it doesn't bother me. I think if we show we can win, people will come to the game. But for me, I really don't notice it. If we can just execute and win some games, that is all that matters. The rest will take care of itself.
domey from raycommedia.com at 6:13pm ET
What challenges do Syracuse pose that you haven't seen so far?
Patrick Ramsey at 6:14pm ET
They have an outstanding secondary. We will have to execute crisply. We all have to be on the same page.
Peter bassett from tulane.edu at 6:14pm ET
How do you expect the offense to handle the pressure of syracuse's defense?
Patrick Ramsey at 6:15pm ET
If they give us the numbers to run, we will. If they stack the box, we will throw the ball. We have faith in everyone on the field. Hopefully we can establish the run and then be able to throw long.
Shawn Herrington from bellatlantic.com at 6:15pm ET
Hi Patrick, I'm from New Orleans, Grad from St.Aug in 89. What confirmed your decision to stay in the state for school? Academics or Athletics being able to play so soon?
Patrick Ramsey at 6:16pm ET
It was an allaround good situation for me. I didn't want to stay within driving distance of my home. Academics was a big part of it and if the football part of it didn't work, I would have a great degree in Business from Tulane.
Michael from tnt2.neworleans.la.da.uu.net at 6:16pm ET
You say that you learned a lot from Shawn King. Are you passing your knowledge on to the younger QB's as well?
Patrick Ramsey at 6:17pm ET
Absolutely, we have some good QB's behind me. Coach always tells me that I will always be associated with Tulane football so I want them to be successful. I want who ever takes over for me to have success. Any questions they have, I'll answer them.
DON from i55.com at 6:17pm ET
What is the biggest difference form playing in high school than in college?
Patrick Ramsey at 6:18pm ET
The speed of the game and the athleticism. Everyone amazes me every day. There are some great athletes in collge that you don't see in high school.
Jeph44 from [128.230.228.229], at 6:18pm ET
How difficult has it been stepping in for Shaun King?
Patrick Ramsey at 6:19pm ET
At first it was very difficult with all the high expectations. After the first game I was very disappionted. He called me and was very supportive of me after that game. He told me he had a similar game his first game as a freshman and that helped me a lot.
manny from [12.78.173.77], at 6:19pm ET
Do you guys think you will evantually go into a better conference ?
Patrick Ramsey at 6:20pm ET
I've never talked about it, but after the success of Con. USA after this weekend, I think we are getting stronger as a conference every weekend. But as far as moving, that is a management decision.
Mark Turner from [152.163.201.213], at 6:20pm ET
How do you rate your performance so far this season?
Patrick Ramsey at 6:21pm ET
I wouldn't say it is great. I have made some reads and I have missed some reads. But my success can be attributed to our great offensive line and our running backs. They have been playing great and making my job easier.
Jeph44 from [128.230.228.229], at 6:21pm ET
How do you think your offense will do against a Syracuse defense that has given up just three touchdowns all season?
Patrick Ramsey at 6:22pm ET
Like I said before, they are very tough. If we execute like the coaches draw it up, we will be OK. We have a lot of talent on offense and we are confident we can do well. It should be a good matchup.
Marvin Rosenberg from [128.112.196.93], at 6:22pm ET
Even though Tulane had a great season last year and is off to a good one this year, do you find it hard for people to show your team any respect?
Patrick Ramsey at 6:24pm ET
Yes, we do. We had a great season last year and most of the guys returned this year. But you have to win games year in and year out so get that automatic respect. We aren't a powerhouse yet, but every team knows they can't overlook us. Publically I don't think we get the respect, but the teams that play us know what kind of talent we have.
Bob from imt.uwm.edu at 6:24pm ET
Who else recruited you coming out of high school? Was there a school you wanted to go to but didn't show enough interest or was it Tulane the whole way?
Patrick Ramsey at 6:25pm ET
I came down here before my senior year of high school for a Manning pass camp. I got an offer then from Tulane, Louisiana Tech, N.W. State, and USL all made me an offer. I have never regretted my decision and really like it here.
Col Reb from nexus.olemiss.edu at 6:26pm ET
Who would win in a fight, Lee Corso or Beano Cook?
Patrick Ramsey at 6:27pm ET
I will go with Lee Corso because he stuck with us all year last season.
Patrick Ramsey at 6:29pm ET
That is all the time I have for today. I want to thank everyone for all the questions.
Take care.
