Celebration of Champions Planned for 12-0 Green Wave

New Orleans - Tulane University has planned a "Celebration of Champions" for Monday, Jan. 25, to honor its 12-0 football team. The event, to be held at noon on the steps of Gibson Hall, will feature the 1998 members of the undefeated Tulane football team and is open to the public.
The Green Wave recently completed its first undefeated season since 1929 with a 41-27 Liberty Bowl win over BYU. Tulane finished the season ranked seventh in both the AP and USA Today/Coaches polls, its highest final ranking since finishing fifth in 1939.
