Tulane's Sewell Named All-Freshman by Football News

Miami - Tulane starting left offensive tackle Corey Sewell was named to the Football News All-Freshman Team announced Friday.
Sewell, a true freshman who started all 11 games for the undefeated and ninth-ranked Green Wave, was joined by Memphis placekicker Ryan White as the only two Conference USA representatives on the 24-man squad. The LaPlace native helped pave the way for a Tulane offense that, along with Ohio State, was one of only two in the nation to pass for over 3,000 yards (3,352) and rush for over 2,000 (2,226).
Tulane begins Liberty Bowl preparations next Wednesday, Dec. 9. The Green Wave will take on BYU in Memphis on Dec. 31.
