C-USA Announces 1999 Preseason Volleyball Awards

NEW ORLEANS - The Green Wave volleyball team was picked to finish 11th in the Conference USA preseason poll announced by the league office on Wednesday.
Defending Conference USA regular season and tournament champion Louisville has been selected to win the 1999 Conference USA volleyball championship while South Florida outside hitter Michelle Collier, the 1998 C-USA Freshman of the Year, has been selected as the 1999 preseason Player of the Year.
Newly appointed head coach Betsy Ferrer leads the Green Wave squad of seven veterans and four newcomers into the 1999 season. Last year, Tulane finished 11th in the conference with an overall record of 6-26 (2-14 C-USA).
