COVINGTON, La. - Despite being pleased with Tulane's first three days of practices, head coach Chris Scelfo was anxious to see how his squad would perform when the Green Wave puts on full gear beginning Thursday.
"The kids have fought hard," said Scelfo. "I've demanded a lot from them, and they've responded. I've mentioned before that I worry about our maturity level with the success we had last year. You look out there and not many of those players played last year. We'll have a lot better feel tomorrow morning."
Wednesday was another round of two-a-day practices for Tulane at St. Paul's School. After split-squad morning workouts, the entire team practiced together for over two hours in the afternoon.
The Green Wave continues two-a-day practices in Covington through Friday before holding a scrimmage Saturday. The team will return to New Orleans following the scrimmage.
