BATON ROUGE, La. - The Tulane volleyball team (4-2) posted 3-0 wins over Central Florida (1-4) and Louisiana-Lafayette (1-6) in the first day of competition in the LSU Tiger Classic.
The Green Wave handily defeated ULL 15-6, 15-5, 15-7 in the afternoon match.
Tulane posted their first ever win over Central Florida as they swept the Golden Knights in three games, 15-9, 15-7, 15-7, in the opening match of the tournament. Kim Sentmore led the Green Wave hitting . 257 with 15 kills. Erin Dobyanski totaled a team high five blocks while Ashley Reese had 16 digs.
Piper Morgan led the Knights with 10 kills and five blocks.
The Green Wave takes on host team LSU on Saturday at 1 p.m.
