On Monday, Tulane sophomore quarterback Patrick Ramsey, Conference USA's offensive player of the week the past two weeks, will stop by to chat about the Green Wave's season. Against SMU, the 6-foot-3, 228-pound sophomore quarterback passed for a school-record 404 yards in a 53-19 victory to become the first player in the 106-year history of Green Wave football to pass for more than 400 yards in a single game, breaking the previous best of 388 yards set 13 years ago.
The record didn't last long, however. In the Green Wave's second game of the season, Ramsey passed for 447 yards and four touchdowns as Tulane (2-1) beat Army 48-28. So far this season, Ramsey has thrown for 1,047 yards, completing 87 of 128 (68 percent) pass attempts. He leads C-USA in both passing efficiency (153.6) and total offense (355.0 yards per game).
