Tulane Volleyball Rolls Over Southern Miss, 3-1

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - Britney Hurst posted a career high 20 kills and led the Tulane (13-8, 6-4 C-USA)volleyball team to a 3-1 victory over Southern Miss (8-14, 2-8 C-USA) on Friday evening. The game scores were 16-14, 8-15, 15-7 and 15-10.
After splitting the first two games, the Green Wave out hit Southern Miss .355 to .064 to take game three 15-7. The Wave finished off the Golden Eagles with a 15-10 claim of game four.
Hurst recorded a match high six block assists and seven digs. Kim Sentmore put down 20 kills and hit .304 on the evening. She also recorded 17 digs. Erin Dobyanski had a match high 20 digs and 12 kills. Karlyn Daly added to the Wave?s strong defensive performance with 16 digs.
Leading Southern Miss was Lindsay Westendorf who posted 18 kills.
Up next for the Wave is a match against Southern University on Wednesday, Oct. 25. The match begins at 7:00 p.m. and will be played in Fogelman Arena.
