LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The Green Wave (10-7, 3-3 C-USA) volleyball team was defeated by Louisville(9-6, 3-3 C-USA) 3-1 on Friday evening. The game scores were 15-4, 15-9, 10-15 and 15-6.
The Cardinals blazed past the Green Wave in game one 15-4 and took game two 15-9. Game three was a different story as the Wave never trailed in the game and took it 15-11, only the third time in school history TU has accomplished this feat. It was the second time in Conference USA history that Tulane has taken a game from the Cardinals. The last time was October 13, 1996 when Tulane lost 3-1. The Greenies remain winless against Louisville through 20 meetings. Not satisfied with the outcome of game three Louisville took game four 15-6.
Leading the Wave was Kim Sentmore with 16 kills and nine digs. Erin Dobyanski posted 10 kills, two service aces and three blocks.
Tulane takes the court on Sunday Oct. 8, against Cincinnati at 2 p.m. in Fogelman Arena.
