Lundberg Falls in NCAA Tournament

ATHENS, Ga. - - Tulane senior Dennis Lundberg dropped his first round match in the singles draw at the NCAA Men's Tennis Championships on Wednesday.
Lundberg, unseeded in the event, dropped a 7-6, 6-1 decision to New Mexico's Matt Amgwerd in the first round. Amgwerd was a 9-16 Alphabetical seed.
A senior from Falkopinj, Sweden, Lundberg finished the year with a 17-7 overall record after compiling a 17-6 mark in dual-match play. He earned first-team All-Conference USA honors for the third straight season. Lundberg had won eight straight matches, and 14 of his last 15, heading into the NCAA Championships.
