
Wave Volleyball Defeats UAB, 3-0

NEW ORLEANS, La. -- The Tulane (10-6, 3-2 C-USA) volleyball team extended its win streak to three matches with a 3-0 victory over UAB on Saturday evening. The match scores were 15-11, 16-14 and 18-16.
The two hour match was neck-and-neck the entire way, as four points was the largest margin of victory for the Wave, which came in game one. In game two, the Green Wave was down 10-3 and went on a 7-2 scoring run to come within two points. TU tied the score at 12 each and went on to win it 16-14. The Wave battled to win game three 18-16.
Tulane's Kim Sentmore and Lindsey Bennett led the Wave with 14 kills each. Bennett had 16 digs and five blocks. Sentmore had 15 digs and five blocks. Lauren Jones-McClain and Erin Dobyanski recorded 11 kills each. Jones-McClain notched 14 digs. Kim Swafford posted a match high six blocks.
UAB's Laura Burke had a match high 19 kills.
Tulane's next match is Friday, Oct. 6 on the road against Louisville.
