NEW ORLEANS, La. - Tulane University senior quarterback Patrick Ramsey (Ruston, La.) will be the featured guest on an ESPN.com live chat on Thursday afternoon at 4:30 p.m. (Central).
Ramsey, who was voted a team captain for the second year in a row, will be available to answer questions about Tulane football and the season-opener on Saturday in the BCA Classic at BYU from fans who log on to the ESPN.com web site. ESPN's chat schedule is available by visiting the main page (espn.com) and then selecting "Chat Schedule" from the menu bar under ESPNation.
Tulane, which posted a 6-5 record last season, will rely on its 6-3, 234-pound quarterback to lead it this season. Last year, Ramsey passed for over 2,800 yards and 24 touchdowns. The Louisiana native has thrown for at least one touchdown in every game in which he has started in his career and currently owns more than 20 Green Wave passing records. He closed last season by tallying over 300 passing yards in each of the final four games.
The Green Wave completed its preseason training camp on Saturday with a scrimmage in the Superdome. The team begins a regular weekly game preparation schedule Monday. The Wave will open the 2001 season Saturday when it battles BYU in Provo, Utah, in the Black Coaches Association (BCA) Classic. Kickoff is 3:30 p.m. (Central) and the game will be broadcast live on ESPN2.
