- Wide Receiver
- Marrero, La.
When analyzing the Tulane offense, it's easy to look past senior wide receiver Zander Robinson. Standing just 5-9 and 173 pounds, it's easy to look Robinson and see a yound man who simply does not stand out. But when the Green Wave squad looks for someone for leadership, Robinson becomes the center of attention. A fifth-year senior who prepped at nearby John Ehret High, Zander has 40 career receptions for 533 yards and six touchdowns. Robinson's statistics, however, do not tell of his total contribution to the team as he is described by his coaches as the hardest-working and most determined player on the team. As the deep-threat in Tulane's four-wide receiver offense, Robinson is able to stretch the defense and draw double coverage because of his speed, and that has helped open things up for his fellow receivers as well as Green Wave running backs. And while Robinson has been a standout on the field, he performance off the field is even more impressive as he has already completed his bachelor's degree in sociology, has begun work on his master's degreee and is a devout member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
