Solomon Kandie begins his senior season with the Green Wave cross country and track and field teams this week. A two-time All-American in the steeplechase, he also earned Conference USA Runner of the Year recognition in cross country last year and C-USA Athlete of the Year honors for outdoor track in each of the last two years. Majoring in computer information systems, Kandie plans to pursue a master's degree after graduation, while continuing with a career in running. He will lead the Green Wave into its only home meet of the cross country season this Friday at Levee Oaks Park.
