Green Wave to Host Tulane Invitational Cross Country Meet

NEW ORLEANS, La. - Tulane University will host the 2001 Tulane Invitational Cross Country Meet at Levee Oaks Park in New Orleans Friday.
Levee Oaks Park is located at the end of Elysian Fields Avenue at Lake Ponchartrain.
The women's race, a two-mile run, will feature 10 schools. Joining Tulane will be the University of New Orleans, Xavier, Ole Miss, Loyola, LSU, University of Mobile, Alabama, Southeastern Louisiana and Southern Miss. The women's race will begin at 5 p.m.
On the men's side, nine schools will compete in a three-mile contest beginning at 5:30 p.m. All of the schools running in the women's race, except Southern Miss, will be present.
In last year's contest, Alabama won both the men's and women's races.
