One of four seniors to anchor the Green Wave defensive line, Floyd Dorsey is enjoying his best collegiate year in his final season. After compiling 123 tackles, 22 tackles for loss and 12 sacks in his first three years at Tulane, Dorsey leads the team with 19 tackles for loss, 7.5 sacks and 22 quarterback hurries as a senior. His 60 tackles and five pass break ups leads all defensive lineman and he is second on the club with two fumble recoveries, including one returned 95 yards for a touchdown against Houston. In last week's monumental win over Southern Miss, Dorsey came up big with four tackles, a sack and a fumble recovery, and also got in on the scoring action with a surprise two-point conversion. As a rookie, Dorsey earned Conference USA All-Freshman team honors, and he claimed first-team All-Louisiana honors as a sophomore. For his career, Dorsey ranks second in the Tulane record book with 19.5 sacks and third in tackles for loss with 41. A business major, Dorsey is scheduled to graduate from the prestigious A.B. Freeman School of Business in Dec. 2003.
