Women's Tennis Fares Well Against Washington State

COLLEGE STATION, Texas - - The Tulane women's tennis team won a pair of doubles matches and then split six singes matches with Washington State at the Texas A&M Round Robin Tournament on Sunday.
The Green Wave picked up wins at No. 1 and No. 2 doubles. The Tulane tandem of Nancy Kockott and Maria Ivanov posted an 8-4 win over the WSU team of Arias and Martinez at the No. 1 spot, while the Wave duo of Ana Saaibi and Jenny Kuhn were 8-2 winners over Gaal and Fodor at No. 2 doubles.
Saaibi picked up a win in singles play for the third straight day, posting a 6-2, 6-4 win over Orsi Sallai at No. 4 singles. Tulane also got wins from Ivanov and Kockott in singles action. Ivanov posted a 4-6, 6-2, 10-7 win over Gaal at the No. 2 spot, while Kockott was a 6-3, 5-7, 10-8 winner over Martinez at the No. 3 spot.
Tulane played three matches over the weekend without freshman Julie Smekodub and senior Julie Morris.
