NEW ORLEANS - Tulane fans who can't make the trip to Honolulu to support the Green Wave when they take on the University of Hawai'i in the ConAgra Foods Hawai'i Bowl can still support the 2002 team in a special way this holiday season, and become an important part of the bowl effort.
With a minimum donation of $40 to the Tulane Athletics Fund, supporters will receive a commemorative souvenir ticket from the bowl game as a special thank you. The ticket will be in mint condition, suitable for framing or display, and an excellent addition to any Green Wave fan's memorabilia collection.
To make a donation, fans can call the Tulane Athletics Fund at 504-865-5356, the Tulane Athletics Ticket Office at 504-861-WAVE, or mail a check to Tulane Athletics Fund, James W. Wilson Center, Ben Weiner Drive, New Orleans, LA 70118 with a "bowl support" notation. Fans who support the Green Wave in this special way will receive their special edition ConAgra Foods Hawai'i Bowl ticket in the mail.
"This is a great way for fans to be a part of the Wave's bowl trip this year, even if they can't make it to Hawai'i," said Tulane Athletic Director Rick Dickson. "Our team has had a great season and this bowl ticket will be an excellent remembrance of that."
In addition to the commemorative ticket, the Tulane Athletics Gift Shop in the James W. Wilson Center will be offering a full range of ConAgra Foods Hawai'i Bowl merchandise, including the Tulane 2002 Bowl Media Guide, beginning this week. Fans can see the merchandise and order it online at www.TulaneGreenWave.com.
The Green Wave takes on the University of Hawai'I in the ConAgra Foods Hawai'I Bowl at 7 p.m. (CST) Christmas Day on ESPN. The game will also be heard on the Tulane/ISP Sports Network on flagship stations WTIX-AM 690 and WTIX-FM 94.3 in New Orleans.
