NEW ORLEANS - Sean Kelley, a member of the Missouri Tiger Radio Network since 1999, is the new "Voice of the Green Wave" on the Tulane ISP Sports Network, ISP Vice President for Radio Operations Chris Ferris announced Thursday. In addition, Ferris and Tulane Director of Athletics Rick Dickson announced that radio coverage of Tulane football and men's basketball in the New Orleans market will expand in 2002-2003 to include coverage on both the FM and AM dials. ISP Sports is the exclusive multi-media rightsholder for Green Wave Athletics.
In addition to WTIX-FM (94.3) continuing as the flagship station for all game broadcasts and call-in shows featuring head coaches Chris Scelfo and Shawn Finney, WTIX-AM (690) has joined the Tulane ISP Network and will simulcast nearly all Green Wave programming, including all 12 regular season football games and coaches' shows for both football and men's basketball.
"Having our broadcasts on both the AM and FM dials in New Orleans is a great boost as the radio network grows," Dickson said. "This is something our fans asked for, and ISP and the local stations have responded."
Kelley will handle all play-by-play duties for Green Wave football and men's basketball, and serve as host of the weekly radio call-in shows and television shows featuring Tulane football coach Chris Scelfo and men's basketball coach Shawn Finney.
"We are very excited to have Sean join our broadcast team at Tulane," Ferris said. "He is a talented individual with a great love for his work. We know he will bring tremendous enthusiasm to every aspect of his job and will be an excellent representative of Tulane University."
Kelley worked in a variety of areas at Missouri the past three years, serving as host of the Tiger Gameday and Scoreboard Show in football, handling both play-by-play and color analyst duties in men's and women's basketball, and doing all play-by-play of Missouri baseball. During that time he also worked as corporate sports director and as a sports anchor for KFRU radio in Columbia, where he hosted the Missouri Basketball Coaches Show.
Prior to his time in Missouri, Kelley served as play-by-play announcer for baseball and women's basketball at Southern Illinois University.
