Doubles Team Falls In Semifinals At Holton Memorial

The Tulane doubles team of David Goulet and Patrizio Maucci lost their semifinal match at the Beau Holton Memorial tennis tournament, held at Tulane's Goldring Stadium on Sunday.
The Green Wave duo fell 9-7 to the Middle Tennesee team of Jackson and Short in the final four. The LSU team of Bryan and Ross topped Jackson and Short for the doubles title.
In singles action, Southern Miss' David Canudas won the A flight with a 6-2, 6-2 victory over LSU's Cory Ross. Middle Tennessee's Rishan Kuruppu won the consolation singles bracket with his 6-2, 6-4 triumph over LSU's Danny Bryan on Sunday.
The Tulane men's tennis team is back in action next weekend at the UL Lafayette Invitational in Lafayette, La.
