NEW ORLEANS, La. - Needless to say, our team is feeling disappointed as we fly back to New Orleans after a long weekend trip to Louisville and Cincinnati. We played in two hard fought matches but unfortunately did not end up on top in either one.
A losing weekend is a new experience for our team, but a few good things did come out of the losses. We showed that we could come back and play well on Sunday after a defeat on Friday night. Although the end result against Cincinnati was not what we hoped for, we proved that we could play point for point with the top team in the conference.
After a weekend like this past one, the most important thing is how our team will respond. So, instead of looking back, I want to look forward to our Tuesday game against Southern and then to this weekend's matches with East Carolina and Charlotte.
We have our last home games this weekend - excluding the Conference USA Tournament - which also means that it is Parents' Weekend and Saturday night is Senior Night. Our team wants to use this week as an opportunity to learn from last weekend and play well in front of our parents and home crowd. Hope to see you there.
