NEW ORLEANS, La. - The excitement on our team is building as the Conference USA Tournament draws near. Playing at home gives us a great opportunity for success this weekend. Without the distractions of travel, unfamiliar gyms and heckling fans, Fogelman Arena seems to be the perfect place for our team to finally reach our goal of a conference championship. We will start out the tournament with a similar schedule of last weekend with Saint Louis scheduled on Friday night, and with a win against the Billikens, we will play Memphis on Saturday night.
But, these teams may face a different team than they remember from last weekend because now we are fueled by a sense of revenge. We want to start by avenging last year's first-round loss and then deliver some pay back to Memphis for the loss to them just last Saturday. Our team understands that all of the work in the off-season, the sprints and lifting in the summer, and every match so far this fall have all been in preparation for this weekend. And we are ready for the hard work to pay off.
Our team understands, however, that it is critical to never look past any team. So right now, all of our efforts are focused on beating Saint Louis. It would be great to have the stands filled with our supportive fans. As the host team, we have a good schedule, and it starts this Friday at 6 p.m. We would love to see (and hear) you there!
Remember, all the Tulane students get in free along with any groups of ten or more. So get everyone together and we'll show what the home court advantage can do.
Roll Wave,
Karlyn
