Jurlina Leads Wave at Florida Relays

GAINESVILLE, Fla. - Sophomore Jelena Jurlina led the Tulane women's outdoor track team in its final day of action at the 60th Annual Coca-Cola Florida Relays on Saturday. Jurlina took second in the javelin and eighth in the discus.
Jurlina threw the javelin 152 feet, one inch while her discus throw was 154 feet even. Both distances are qualifying distances for the NCAA Regional Championships.
In addition to Jurlina, the Green Wave had four relay teams in action. The top effort came from the 4x800 squad of Sheena Garwood, Carlyne Pradieu, Lisa Green and Eva Lustigova, which finished in fifth place with a time of 9:12.90.
Tulane returns to action next Saturday at the Yellow Jacket Invitational at Georgia Tech.
