Wave Men's Tennis Wraps Up First Weekend of Action

AUBURN, Ala. - The Tulane University men's tennis team completed action at the Auburn Invitational on Sunday afternoon at the Luther Young Tennis Complex.
With five individuals in action in singles, Tulane saw both of its newcomers pick up victories. Freshman David Goulet (Longueuil, Quebec) earned his first collegiate singles victory with a 6-4, 6-4 victory over Sanzarus Zaman from UAB. In addition, senior transfer Maxime Lacroix (Auch, France) cruised to a 6-2, 6-3 win over UAB's Brent Goedjen.
In other action, junior Dmitriy Koch (Bueckeburg, Germany), senior Hannu Piiroinen (Tampere, Finland) and sophomore Patrizio Maucci (Neuilly, France) all suffered singles losses. It was the first loss of the year for Koch.
Tulane returns to action next weekend at the Kentucky Invitational with play beginning on Friday afternoon in Lexington.
