NEW ORLEANS, La. - A football alumni party, a meet and greet session with the 2005 Tulane baseball team and a live concert by "Big Sam" highlight the pregame festivities for this weekend's Tulane/Navy football game on Saturday, Nov. 6, at the Louisiana Superdome.
In addition to the traditional tailgating that takes place in the southwest parking garage area, "Big Sam" will perform a concert, inflatable games will be available for kids, and there will be a GMAC/Saturn display as well.
In the Westfeldt Club, several prominent Tulane football alumni will be on hand, including former Cincinnati Bengals All-Pro tight end Rodney Holmann, All-American quarterback Terrence Jones and former New York Giants running back Bobby Duhon. The 2005 Green Wave baseball team will also be in the Westfeldt Club prior to kickoff in a "Meet The Team" setting.
At halftime of the Tulane/Navy contest, the 2004 NCAA Oxford Regional and Super Regional participant baseball team will be recognized in a special ceremony, and the Tulane football alumni will also be honored.
The game will also featured a GMAC bocce ball contest, with the winner receiving a $1,000 scholarship, and the national anthem will be performed by Green Envy, a local a cappella group.
