Tulane Fall Fan Day Scheduled for Sunday Afternoon

NEW ORLEANS - Tulane Athletics will hold its annual Fall Fan Day Sunday, August 28 from 5-8 p.m. at the Westfeldt Facility behind the James W. Wilson Center. The event, which will take place following the women's soccer game between Tulane and Troy, is free and open to the public. Parking is available in the Diboll Parking Garage, the Monk Simons Lot and along Ben Weiner Drive, which has reopened to through traffic.
Student-athletes and coaches from the Green Wave football, volleyball and women's soccer teams will sign autographs and meet fans during Fan Day, and free posters and schedule cards featuring all three teams will be distributed. The Tulane cheerleaders will lead fans in the "Hullabaloo," while kids can play on inflatable games or take part in the football toss, soccer kick or basketball shot.
Fan Day is a great time to get the latest Green Wave gear, to renew or order season tickets, or to purchase individual game tickets for any of Tulane's six 2005 football home games. The Green Wave Ticket Office and Gift Shop in the Wilson Center will be open throughout the afternoon. Tulane opens its 2005 home football schedule on Saturday, Sept. 17 in the Louisiana Superdome versus Mississippi State with kickoff set for 7 p.m.
The Green Wave women's soccer team kicks off Fan Day by taking on Troy in the Tulane Soccer Invitational beginning at 2:30 p.m. at the Westfeldt Facility. Admission to the contest is also free.
