Hurricane Katrina Forces Cancellation of Athletic Events

NEW ORLEANS, La. - In response to Hurricane Katrina's shift to the west, the Tulane University Athletic Department has cancelled its plans for the remainder of the weekend - including Fan Day on Saturday and day two of women's soccer's Tulane Tournament.

The University will close as of 5 p.m. Saturday and will reopen on Thursday, Sept. 1. Make-up dates and times for cancelled athletic events are not yet scheduled.
