New Orleans - The Tulane athletic department has announced the formation of the "Wave Women" to the Green Wave family. The group will gain first hand knowledge of Tulane athletics through instruction and inside access with the TU coaching staffs.
The Wave Women will meet for luncheons, happy hours, clinics, and many more social events over the course of the year. The group is open to the public. However, prospective female student-athletes are not eligible due to NCAA rules.
The first event will be a basketball clinic held in Tulane's Fogelman Arena on the corner of McAlister and Freret St. from 5:30-6:30 pm on Monday, February 5th. TU head coaches Dave Dickerson and Lisa Stockton will conduct a clinic on the basic fundamentals, idiosyncrasies and subtleties of basketball.
In the spring, Tulane head baseball coach Rick Jones and his staff will conduct a clinic and walk the group through plays, strategies and the basic fundaments of hitting, throwing and catching.
This fall, first-year head football coach, Bob Toledo and his staff will break down the X's and O's of his offense and defense. We will also bring in our volleyball and track coaches to run and rally with us!
