The end-of-the-season blog. How sad! I'm sure everyone expects me to be bitter about the snub we received from the NCAA selection committee this year, but I'm not even going to mention it. Except when I say that we totally should have been given a spot in the tournament. Totally.
Really, though, this season was still awesome. Several facts seem to have been brushed under the rug by that snub I wasn't going to mention. For one, we were undefeated at home. We were 28-6 for God's sake. WE BEAT LSU! (Speaking of which, I think we should make that a general trend in all of our sports in their respective meetings with LSU. Deal, everyone?)
You know, I think that not getting into the tournament could even be construed to be a good thing. What?! Did she just say that? Yeah, work with me on this. If we had gotten in, it would have covered up the lows of this season. Not that there's anything wrong with that, I just think that not getting in will give us more of a reason to work really hard in the off season and do it right next year. It'll give us more of a drive. See? It can be a good thing. Plus, we're returning all of our starters. We're going to go out with a bang next year. None of this fizzle-out stuff. Just you watch.
Chin up, everyone. I'll be back next year. Until then, support all the other Green Wave teams whose seasons are coming up. I know they aren't TUVB, but you should still give them a chance.
