Next Stop on Tulane's 2007 Spring Tour: Monroe

New Orleans - Tulane University is taking the excitement of Green Wave athletics on the road this spring to five communities in Louisiana and one in Mississippi. The "Tulane Spring Tour" is a unique opportunity for Green Wave fans of all ages to get an inside look at TU athletics.
Headlining the Spring Tour will be Tulane head football coach Bob Toledo, head baseball coach Rick Jones, head men's basketball coach Dave Dickerson, head women's basketball coach Lisa Stockton, head volleyball coach Liz Kritza, head track & field/cross country coach Heather Van Norman, Director of Athletics Rick Dickson and members of the Tulane coaching and administrative staffs.
The Spring Tour kicked-off on Thursday, May 3 with the "Bayouland" tour in Cut Off, La.
The caravan then made the short trip to the Northshore on Wednesday, May 9, and at Pamlab L.L.C. in Covington, La., and then journeyed the following day to Lake Charles and Lafayette, La.
The next stop is in Monroe, La., this Tuesday, May 22, followed by the finale in Gulfport, Miss., on Wednesday, May 30.
"This `series' of events is one of the most important of all of our scheduled activities of each year," Dickson said. "Beginning with the outpouring of support we've received since the Athletic Review of 2003, the number of donors and resulting financial support has grown exponentially. It's the financial lifeblood for all of our student-athletes, and our programs wouldn't succeed or even be here without that continuous commitment. It's enjoyable to reacquaint and reconnect with Tulanians in Louisiana and throughout the country each spring as we begin our final push for victory in reaching our goals for the year in the Tulane Athletics Fund."

Thursday, May 10th at Noon in Lake Charles, La.
Venue: Pat's of Henderson, 1500 Siebarth Drive in Lake Charles, La.
Thursday, May 10th from 5:00-7:00pm in Lafayette, La.
Venue: Café Vermillionville, 1304 W. Pinhook Rd. in Lafayette, La.
Tuesday, May 22nd at Noon in Monroe, La.
Venue: Chateau, 2007 Louisville Ave. in Monroe, La.
Wednesday, May 30th at 6:00pm in Gulfport, Miss.
Venue: Bayou Bluff Country Club, 11553 W. Taylor Rd. in Gulfport, Miss.
